Three lakes

History and a legend

Blue lakes are shrouded in folk rumor. There are legends describing how the lake appeared. The legend tells about a girl who fell in love with the son of the khan – the local king. He loved her, too. But the happiness of the couple was not destined to happen. The young man heroically died in a battle. Upon learning of this, the girl was in despair… Time passed, but she could not find peace. Seeking solace, the girl wandered into the forest. For a long time she shed tears here, until she completely dissolved from grief. In the place where the inconsolable lover cried, a blue lake appeared.

Once you are there, look for the Ulitsa Gavrilova bus stop. Board a bus that will take you to the village of Shcherbakovo. Alternatively, you could reach the lakes by taking the metro to the Aviastroitelnaya metro station. Take a bus from the Ulitsa Pobezhimova bus stop to the village of Shcherbakovo.
