Location: Laishevsky district
The reserve is located on the shore of the Reservoir on the cape between the Volga, Kama, and Myosha. Volga-Kama reserve occupies the low and high terraces of these rivers. Lime, birch-lime, and mixed forests predominate. In the 1970s wild boar were introduced here which now present a threat to the plant cover.
This island’s natural complex is various. Pine forests cover large islands. Among the flora, steppe varieties are prominent, especially in the slopes facing south and south-west – feather grass, asters, wild cherry. The initial sector of the road to the Kazan passes through the forest zone of the Volga-Kama reserve.
