Local history museum in Rybnaya Sloboda was established in 1985 under the initiative of the Rybno-Slobodsky Council of People’s Deputies. It was initially focused on military and labor glory. However, in 2001, the museum underwent a transformation, embracing a broader regional identity. Today, with two branches dedicated to the history of Kutlu Bukash village and Bolshiye Elgi village since 2011, the museum stands as a comprehensive repository of the region’s past.

The museum boasts prized possessions, including a comprehensive collection of over 100 items, encompassing documents, photographs, and books once owned by poet Robert Akhmetzyanov. Additionally, it showcases a meticulously woven lace handkerchief from the late 19th century, attributed to a skilled Rybno-Slobodsky lacemaker. Among the captivating artifacts are the crystal trophy of the 1958 World Champion, G.I. Bukharin, and the medal earned by G.I. Bukharin as the champion of the 1957 3rd International Youth Sports Games. Furthermore, the museum proudly houses the State Prize named after G. Tukay, an esteemed accolade awarded to poet R. Akhmetzyanov.
