Location: Kazan
The festival was established in 1988. Since 1997 it is called after the popular Tatar composer Sara Sadykova and has international status.
In total for the last years, 125 songs performed by 60 singers and music groups became the winners of the festival “Tatars zhyry”. Salavat Fatkhutdinov, Aydar Galimov, and Hanija Farkhi became the winners about seven times. The highest award of the competition is the “Altyn bars” (“Golden snow-leopard”) statue (weight 475 grams, made of 45 grams of gold, 198 grams of silver, 232 grams of crystal, and brilliants).
