Cheremshansky district

The administrative centre of the district is Cheremshan. Area – 1363,9 square km. The district was founded in 1965. The village of Cheremshan is situated on the river Bolshoy Cheremshan (a tributary of the Volga), 251 km to the southeast of Kazan, 26 km to the north of the Shentala railway station.
