The Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan was adopted on November 6, 1992, in accordance with the results of the referendum on the state status of the Republic of Tatarstan, and enacted on November 30, 1992. By virtue of the Constitution, the Republic of Tatarstan is a sovereign state, subject to international law, associated with the Russian Federation, Russia, on the basis of the Treaty on Demarcation of Subjects of Management and Mutual Delegation of Powers between Bodies of State Power of the Russian Federation and Bodies of State Power of the Republic of Tatarstan in 1994. The Republic of Tatarstan is a part of international networks, and takes part in many political, economical, educational, and humanitarian actions and events across Europe and the globe.
